As many of you may have already heard, we had an unexpected loss over the weekend. Our chapter president and close friend, John Rodriguez, has passed away. Out of consideration, we will be postponing this week’s chapter meeting until the following Wednesday, May 16th.
JOIN US for this month's meeting at The Westin Fort Lauderdale on May 16th. This month we will be having a panel discussion on the current cost of materials and its impact on the HVAC industry. Our panel of guest speakers will be Bob LoPiano with Balfour Beatty Construction (formerly Centex), Bill Bower with Southeast Mechanical, and Pat Powers with Ferguson.

All proceeds for ASHRAE Research & Promotion Campaign That’s right WWV , Water War FIVE will be held on Saturday June 2th. This year the Weigh-in and Captain’s meeting / Kick-off party will be at the Sand’s Marina Marina. All proceeds to be contributed to ASHRAE for the Gold Coast Chapter’s Resource & Promotion fundraising campaign. The tournament will be held at The Sands at Harbour Beach on the east side 125 North Riverside Drive on the Intra Coastal, Ft. Lauderdale.
It’s a shame that Don Austin had his thumb over the lens in one of the pictures above- That was me catching that huge Bull Dolphin – really. Everybody I tell that story to even says “That’s a lot of Bull !” Last year’s tournament was a lot of fun, and 15th Street Fisheries was a great location for the weigh-in and after party. The “WAR” is about fishing, fun and a unique format of competition. The “WAR” has the typical fishing fleet competition and also includes a unique friendly competition amongst professional peers. There are three categories for the competition amongst; A) Engineers, B) Contractors and C) Vendors (Manufacture Representatives, Sales Engineers/Salespersons in General). See the attached flyer for more information. We need you to register your fishing team if you are a fisherman or not. All you need is a boat and a few people to compete and have a great time while support a worthy ASHRAE cause. We also need corporate sponsors for the tournament prizes. This event is paramount to our chapter’s successfully reaching our Resource & Promotion goals. For rules, fees and further information click here.

want to thank everyone for coming to April’s meeting. We will be having
our next meeting at our regular location the Westin in Fort-Lauderdale
on May 9th 2007. We are looking forward to see you there. If you would
